Individual Therapy
We partner with schools around Victoria to provide in school therapy supporting students in developing coping skills, so they can better handle any challenges they may be facing. Having a Psychological Service at school makes therapy accessible and convenient.
Difficult life situations affect all young people and might include:
- emotional stress such as depression and anxiety
- grief and sadness
- bullying
- sexuality issues
- substance abuse issues
- trauma
- family breakdown or parent problems, or
- friendship and relationship issues
Seeing a Psychologist is an opportunity for students to talk about their problems, ask questions and develop skills to cope with these problems.
Individual therapy sessions are provided at the child’s school at a time convenient with the school, and are usually 50 minute sessions.
Communication about the goals and child’s progress is provided to the parent throughout therapy.
Group sessions are also available on topics of: Confidence building, Anxiety, Autism, Resilience, Bullying.
